| I think his name sucks, other then that I can see where he could be okay, I do like that he is B/R. I really hope that the other walker in the set is U/W and not just white. | |

| Finally, the first no-plus planeswalker. His first ability, i assume, is usually meant as a last hurrah after you've busted the second and last ability each once or the second ability three times. The beauty of Sarkhan here is that his second -2 and jace's -1 make for very dead creatures for a grixis deck. And can someone live the dream and use his 0 ability to reveal bolas, killing him?! | |

i hate that it's possible to play him and chase him with a broodmate for 8 damage right away. so freakin' ridiculous. i love the spin on dark confidant, though. overall, i am actually pleased with it. i just don't look forward to the aforementioned sequence occurring to me at any point. and yeah, jake, i've been thinking about that combination of cards for killing stuff since i saw him. *drools... i might actually try to get on the speculation train on this one and preorder them as soon as i can.

| bye the way this guy is a BAD ASS
Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre
Legendary Creature - Eldrazi When you cast Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, destroy target permanent. Annihilator 4 Ulamog is indestructible. When Ulamog is put into a graveyard from anywhere, its owner shuffles his or her graveyard into his or her library. 10/10
Take that Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, and Kozilek, Butcher of Truth. Ulamog see all and destroys all or in this case one.
He even got his own minion lol Pawn of Ulamog 1BB Creature - Vampire Shaman Whenever Pawn of Ulamog or another nontoken creature you control is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, you may put a 0/1 colorless Eldrazi Spawn creature onto the battlefield. It has "Sacrifice this creature: add to your mana pool." 2/2

I'd personally rather have either of the other two legendary Eldrazi over Ulamog.

| wow...
gideon is sick. i mean, wow. i can only imagine how good he will be in a limited format that is supposed to be "slow". five mana for a 6/6 that also plays the removal game. damn...
also, reasonably well written little story about him. i enjoyed that alot.

| Gideon will own in a control type deck. +2 him, then next turn, pick off the strongest one. That's sweet. | |

news card. near death experience. silly as ****. i dig it. definitely a card i want for edh. My experience with cards that want you to be low at life for some awesome pay off in edh is this : People will kill you. I had Second chance on the board and i was at 5 life at one point, where i would at most get an extra turn with rubinia (whoopee) and i was killed. So i would venture to say that this is maybe legit in a mono white or white/black edh deck that can happily work around low life totals, but its a huge risk for a huge payoff i suppose.

| This in play and then Angel's grace + Some sort of life tap effect (Ad Nauseum would work well as Andrew stated) drain yourself dry, leave yourself @ 1 and win the game. | |

| correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Angel's Grace actually prevents the damage the way it is worded. | |
