| So allies are really cool in my opinion. You can play one creature and activate the abilities of all of the other allies you have in play when once you have a bunch of them out or even just a few with some variety you can do a ton of things just by playing one creature. It's really cool and there are some allies with some awesome abilities out there, but the question i have is...which is the best color combination to play with them? | |

| You weren't around for slivers were you? Allies are basically just an immensely worse version of those and slivers weren't even that good.
However, they do make a good draft strategy. Basically, I just try to pick up as many of the +1/+1 allies as possible. G/U is good because you get Umara Raptor and Oran-Rief Survivalist. Black has Nimana Sell-Sword which is also really good, but black is heavily drafted. I got run over by a red deck playing Tuk Tuk Grunts and whatever cheaper ally red has. Basically, if you just draft a bunch of allies in any two colors, it's probably the best draft strategy you can go for. Unfortunately most other people have picked up on that as well and especially the +1/+1 allies go early. | |
